The “kazani” of joy – Raki Distillery Lokal experiences

The picturesque,
historical, traditional village of Kroustas in Lassithi prefecture is located
just 14 kilometres south of the prefecture’s capital, Agios Nikolaos, at an
altitude of about 540 metres. You can drive and park your vehicle at the main
parking lot.
Together we will cut wood, light a fire, fill the cauldron, distill raki,
drink, cook,  eat, sing, dance and have a great time.
Every year we have a feast. We distill raki or tsikoudia, the typical Cretan
drink.

Since we do not
sell raki, but produce it for ourselves we maintain the traditional way of
distillation.

Please note that
the driver of the car must not drink alcohol.
