PREVELI RIVER – RETHYMNO CITY PRIVATE

 Preveli reminds of an ejotic lagoon. Preveli beach and lagoon, sometimes known locally as palm Beach, is  located below the monastery which is our first stop. The Patriachal Prevely Monastery St. John the Theologian, know as the monastery of Preveli comprises two main bulding complexes, the ruined LowerMonastery of St. John the Baptist and the currently operational Upper (Real) Monastery of St. John the Theologian. 

 Behind the beach is an extensive glade of palm trees. The beach is approachable by boats from the nearby resort of Plakias. 

 It is an oasis of palm trees with crystalline greenish waters and fine soft sand. The Kourtaliotis River ends at this wonderful beach, creating a delta. Abart from the superb pal trees, lush vegetation surrounds the beach and the river, creating a dreamy landscape.  

 Afterwards we will vist the city of Rethimno.wher you have pienty of time to enjoy a traditionaly prepared meal or enjoy a cold glass of coffee.
